Launch of’ Play the Blue’ Campaign by Mohanlal
12- 25 Nov 2012
‘Play the Blue’ symbolizes the significance of physical activity in the prevention and treatment of diabetes. Padmasree Mohanlal symbolically launched the event at the inaugural ceremony of Diabetes Kerala 2012 at Ram Varma Hall, Kochi by hurling the blue ring to the audience. Blue circle is the official symbol of diabetes. The purpose of the symbol is to give diabetes a common identity. It aims to:

■ Support all existing efforts to raise awareness about diabetes
■ Inspire new activities, bring diabetes to the attention of the general public
■ Brand diabetes
■ Provide a means to show support for the fight against diabetes
